Student Instructions

We all have a voice. We just need to find it in our hearts and minds. As a school, we have read The Smallest Girl in The Smallest Grade. This will be our crew reading for the year. The main character Sally McCabe struggles because she feels like she does not have a voice in her classroom. Later in the book, she raises her voice and becomes an advocate for her classroom for change. She finds that voice in her heart and mind. What would you like to see change in the world today? In your heart, how do you want to speak up for change? In your head, what do you want to say to the world that needs to be changed? Draw a picture on the heart that describes what the voice in your heart wants to say. Draw a picture on the thought bubble that describes the voice in your head.
