Student Instructions

Everyone has characteristics that make them special and unique. Some are tall, some are small, some are friendly or smart. Some are kind, some are fast, some have really big hearts. Read or listen to these two books: No More Pencils, No More Books, No More Teacher’s Dirty Looks (by Diane deGroat) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxaCF2JWU8Q Only One You (by Linda Kranz) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVFOGREdsNg When you have finished, please think about your classmates - If you were giving them an award, what would it be for? You could use a positive adjective to describe them, or think of something that they are really good at. Be creative and focus on the things that make each person special. Try not to use the same answer more than once. Click add and write your choices in the template using the label or drawing tool. After you have chosen an award for everyone click the check to submit your work.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This is a great activity for the end of the school year. Afterwards, teachers can compile the answers for each student and make a word cloud (https://www.wordclouds.com/) for each student. Teachers will need to add the names of their students to the template. If you need more space, simply duplicate the page.
