Student Instructions

Hi 🖐Coders🤖 We are going to explore the skill of coding further. We are going to play fun arcade games, design our own sprites, and learn the basics of coding our own game with MakeCode Arcade. Go to the link and tap on it. Once you are in the Hour of Code site go to the Code🎮 : Shark🦈 Attack😲 site. Once you are in the Shark🦈 Attack😲 site, follow the instructions. Let's make a game! First, we'll create a main character that shoots some projectiles. Maybe that's a duck that shoots bubbles, or a monkey throwing bananas, or a cat that spits hairballs--it's up to you! Now that you have a hero character, let's customize your game. Maybe you want to add some villains who are attacking your character, or maybe you want to develop the scene of your game--it's up to you! 👀As you progress through the activity , don't forget to take a few screenshots📷 of your code you are creating and your characters. When complete go back to seesaw and tap on the add button. Use the template pages provided (add more pages if you want) to highlight your characters, villains and backgrounds you have created. The tap on the mic to explain what you have created. Include things that were easy/or hard for you. Is there anything you might change next time? When complete tap on the check button and add your response to the activity. Have fun😋 and be creative.👍
