You have already seen Miss Hansen model this in front of the class using the text 'Ringing Greedy Guts', now it's your turn! You are to read the text attached and use the app Popplet (if you do not have the app or do not want to use it remember to write into your English book instead) to write down (3) connections you could make about the text. Remember the types of connections Miss Hansen was making during the Modelled Reading lesson as these will help you when you're thinking of your own connections. Think about the questions below as these too, may be helpful: 1. That part reminds me of... 2. I remember when .... 3. That makes me think about the time when.... 4. That happened to me once... 5. This sounds familiar to me .... 6. That part is similar to my life because.... Once you've finished writing your (3) text to self connections you are free to go onto Studyladder or Reading Eggs!
