Hello, Kiddos!!! Today will be a NONFICTION DAY in our reading world. I would like for you to find a nonfiction book at home to do our activity. Do not forget that you have your A - Z Raz Reading app available to you through your parent’s cell phone, computer, or iPad. We have been really stressing these nonfiction skills in our third quarter, and if we do not practice them, then they will become weak, and we DEFINITELY do not want that to happen. Today, you are going to read your book as you always do. Once you are finished, I want you to find a page that has some really COOL text FEATURES on it. Please find a page in your book that has many text features. Take a picture of it, and then label all of the features with a text box. You are my 2nd graders; so, you have covered them all: BOLD PRINT, ITALICS, DIAGRAMS, MAPS, HIGHLIGHTED TEXT, CAPTIONS, TABLE OF CONTENTS, INDEX, GLOSSARY, FACT BOX, AND ETC. Take a screen shot and send it to me. Have fun!!!
