My kids and I love creating with salt dough. Here’s a great recipe to try with your family. This lesson is OPTIONAL, and you should ask a parent for permission and help. **** The original recipe contains an allergy for those allergic to gluten. Please know I read that GLUTEN FREE flour, should work just as well with this activity.**** Recipe: 1 Cup of Salt 2 Cups of Flour (gluten free works) 1 Cup of water Directions: 1. Combine salt and flour. Stir together. 2. Slowly add water. 3. Add more water if too dry. Add more flour if too wet. 4. Bake in the oven (ask for parent help) at 200 degrees, for approximately 2 hours. Length is determined by thickness of the dough. 5. Optional painting or coloring when completed.
