Hi Artists! We are starting a Collaboration In Art unit and I can't think of a better example of collaborative art than the people who work together at Pixar Animation Studios. Artists, writers, editors, coders, musicians, voice actors, are just a few of the specialists who help make each and every animated film. For the next few weeks, we will take on the role of some of these artists. First, we will take a tour of Pixar Animation Studios and soon after, you will take on the role of Lead Character Designer to an upcoming sequel to a Pixar film! 1. Watch the video https://youtu.be/1UbLS63seWI 2. Go to the Seesaw template and decide on one of the Pixar movies you would like to make a new character for. (Checklist on the lefthand side.) 3. In your sketchbook, start sketching your new character. Bonus: If you have the time, try drawing your new character showing different facial expressions and poses. 4. Take a pic of your pencil sketch and share on on the Seesaw template. Next week, we will finish up our character design and start thinking about settings (Backgrounds, landscapes) for our character.
