Student Instructions
"Ta" represents one sound on a beat. "Tadi" represents two sounds on a beat.
Record 
yourself singing phrases from known songs using "ta" and "tadi."
The teacher will sing a phrase from a song you know, and you will echo it using "ta" and "tadi" (these are called "rhythm syllables"). Hold the iPad microphone close to your mouth so it picks up only your voice.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
This activity is intended to be a large group activity where the whole class is singing and each child is singing into an iPad. This allows you to assess each child's understanding of the topic as well as their tuning. Plus, posting it to their journals gives parents valuable insight into what happens in music class.
