Homophone Mittens

Grades: 2nd Grade
Subjects: English Language Arts

Student Instructions

1. If you have the construction paper pattern for the mittens, use that. If you don't, you can print the template with the mittens or you can loosely trace your closed hand onto a piece of white paper, to make a set of mittens. 2. Look at the list of Homophones and pick out which homophone you would like to use. 3. Write one of the homophones on each mitten in the white box. 4. Write a sentence using each homophone, showing the meaning of the word. 5. Draw a picture to go with your sentence. 6. Color your mittens. 7. If you have string or yarn, you can use a piece to tie the mittens together. 8. When you are finished, post a picture of your mittens.
