E-waste-Toxic Legacy of our Digital Age Globally, the debate continues that electronic waste is a threat to the climate and production /use of fancy devices should be regulated, however, electronic devices play a vital role in the development of technology and education. 1. Watch the video in instruction to understand more about E-waste 2. Use a "Tug of War" visible thinking routine to analyze the argument. What are your reasons to support one side of the argument? 3. Reflect on the template given.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

"Tug of War" A routine for exploring the complexity of fairness dilemmas. 1. Present a fairness dilemma. 2. Identify the factors that “pull” at each side of the dilemma. These are the two sides of the tug of war. 3. Ask students to think of “tugs”, or reasons why they support a certain side of the dilemma. Ask them to try to think of reasons on the other side of the dilemma as well. 4. Generate “what if?” questions to explore the topic further.
