โญSummary: Students will review which expenses are planned and unplanned, evaluate scenarios to determine how the characters will pay for their expenses and share something they would like to save for. They will also share the plan for saving the money. โฉ This activity has 3 pages ๐Ÿ”‘ Key Vocabulary: spend, earn, planned expense, unplanned expense, cash, credit card, plan, savings account, allowance, budget โญThis is a supplemental activity that can be used in conjunction with your district curriculum. โญThis activity is can be used whole group on an interactive board where students come up and manipulate the objects in the activity or on individual devices. This activity can also be used in small groups. ๐ŸŽฏIn 2nd grade students were expected to distinguish between a deposit and a withdrawal, identify examples of borrowing and distinguish between responsible and irresponsible borrowing, identify examples of lending and differentiate between producers and consumers. Work in this unit will support 4th grade where the student is expected to distinguish between fixed and variable expenses and calculate profit in a given situation. ๐Ÿ›‘ Always preview videos/links to be sure they fit your audience/needs.
