Teachers, save “Build That Word and Use It: Prefix and…” to assign it to your class.

1. This chart shows base words, suffixes and prefixes. 2. For example, I added the suffix -ful to the base word care to make careful. Then, I also added -ly to make "carefully." 3. I used "carefully" in a sentence that I made up. "My mom carefully iced the cupcakes for the party." 4. Click Add suffixes (word endings) and prefixes (beginnings like -un as in unkind) to base words on the chart to build 5 new words. Write them. 5. Write one sentence with each new word. Be sure your sentences make sense. 6. Record yourself reading each sentence. 7. Click to turn in your work.
