Student Instructions

On the first page of this assignment, you need to do some research. Learn about your person - that is the most important thing to do while completing this project. Record the answers to the questions on the template. Then, use the second page to create your poem. You will choose a haiku or free verse style (you could do a concrete poem in the shape of something related to your person) poem to write about your subject. You will need to make your poem mysterious. You should never come right out and say who your subject is. Use hints, clues, vivid, and symbolic language to represent your subject. Then you will insert the poem into the template on page 3. Be sure to include a photo of your person. Complete the final template neatly - this will be the final, visual product of your project. You will be graded on creativity, meeting the guidelines listed here, and (as always) proper capitalization and punctuation (where necessary, since this is poetry).
