March 31-April 3: Books for Emerging Readers (Set 1)

Grades: Pre-K, Kindergarten
Subjects: English Language Arts, Multilingual Learners

Student Instructions

Select add to bring this to your device 1) Read the front cover of the books, pick one that looks interesting to you. 2) Tap on the cover to go to the story. 3) Read the story. If you get stuck use your decoding strategies (Eagle Eye, Lips the Fish and Stretchy Snake). 4) Check for understanding as you go. Ask..."What am I learning from this book? Is this fiction or non-fiction? ..." 5) Read as many as you want. 6) Before you leave go to Reader's Response page and write and/or illustrate about what you learned. 7) If you want to read more books later, select draft. When you want to come back to this Activity you can simpy open the draft. If you tap the check then you can reopen it by tapping on the three dots (...) in the bottom right and choose EDIT ITEM. 8) When you are done tap check to add it to your journal.
