This project will develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills through project-based learning. This project is to be done individually, but children working in a class can plan together so their maps link together better. Use the following brilliantly designed Prezi presentation by Erin Brasington https://prezi.com/x1tljig6st0u/geometrocity/?webgl=0 PHASE THREE: Construction For this phase, you need the squared piece of A4 paper (1cm squares) you have already worked on. If you are very happy with your plan, you could use this to colour in neatly and in detail, or produce another neater copy on a new sheet of A4 paper, remembering to keep the roads and everything else in exactly the same place! Colour in all areas of the map (no squares left in uncolured - apart from the bases of buildings) and then join them up with your friends using sellotape. Wrap the sellotape underneath so that it is more secure. Take a picture of your finished piece of paper and your class piece and upload it to this activity! Good luck!
