Happy Black History Month!! Students will learn all month long about the importance of significant and achievements of African American people by reading their biographies, documentaries, celebrating fun facts and watching YouTube read-aloud stories. Student seesaw Instructions 1. Click seesaw link to launch Black History Month Daily Inspiration Slides 2. Each slide you can click the pictures to launch YouTube read-aloud stories about each Black History Month Person. 3. Make sure you place this activity in draft daily to come back and explore. 4. On February 28th create a :video : of yourself sharing which Black History Month Person you enjoyed learning about. 5. Click check on February 28th and upload your activity to the journal.

This informational PowerPoint will teach students about the importance of Black History Month. Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States, where it is also known as African American History Month. It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland, and the United Kingdom. It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the United States and Canada, while in Ireland, and the United Kingdom it is observed in October.
