Modeling with One-Step Equations

Student Instructions

Click on add to start the activity. On the first slide, use the move tool to drag and drop the colorful words next to their inverse operations. On slides 2-5, use the move tool to show the correct inverse operation and solution on each slide. One slide 6, use the move tool to correctly identify the equation to model each situation. Use the pen or label tool to show the correct inverse operations, calculations and solution. You may also use the photo tool to upload a photo of your work on paper. On slides 7 and 8, use the pen tool to draw a model to represent the situation. Use the label to write an equation to represent the situation. Use the pen or label to show the correct inverse operations and calculations. Then, use label to put the answer in context (words). If you do not have a stylus, you may use the mic to verbally explain your work or photo upload a photo of your work on paper. On the last slide, use the move to place the arrow at your level of understanding. When finished, click on the check to submit. If you need to save and return to finish, click draft.
