Using lines to make patterns

Grades: 3rd Grade, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Subjects: Art

Student Instructions

Pattern is an easy way to add variety to your artwork. A pattern is a line, shape, or color that is repeated several times in an artwork. Artists use pattern to help viewers look at a picture. On a piece of paper, draw ten circles. They need to be about the size of a ping-pong ball. Using simple lines, draw a different pattern in each circle. When you are finished, click the add button Click the photo button to take a picture of your work. Click the check to add it to your portfolio.
