Learning intention: Read information from National Geographic Kids to get to know a minibeast. Record information about what you’ve read on the template eg common name, features and interesting facts. Share what you found out with your literacy group. 1. Tap and choose a minibeast to learn more about 2. Read the information then press x to add what you learnt to a graphic organiser 2. Tap 3. or to record tour facts 4. to add to your journal.

Getting to know a minibeast Students work in their literacy groups during the week to explore a subcategory of minibeasts. Students use National Geographic for kids to record the common name, features and interesting facts about the minibeast they have chosen. Students make notes on the graphic organiser and share the information collected in their group.
