Student Instructions

"A hero is a person of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his or her brave deeds and noble qualities." Who is your hero? A hero can be a family member, an athlete, an actor, an activist, a historical person, or even a fictional character. 1. 🤔 Who is a hero to you? 2. 🕵️ Be a detective and learn more about your hero's life and accomplishments. With adult supervision, use the internet to learn more about your hero, unless your hero is a family member. Some good topics to research include childhood, education, talents, and shining moments. 3. add Tap to add to your journal. 4. Use any of Seesaw's creative tools to tell your hero's story. Be creative and have fun! 5. check Tap the green check to add to your journal. Extension: Dress up as your hero for your presentation and post a picture. 👨‍👧Why: Students feel empowered when they know others have faced and overcome challenges. Thinking about heroic behaviors builds empathy and a sense of noble actions.
