Student Instructions

We are going to look at partitioning 4-digit numbers in different ways. Your task is to choose your own 4-digit number then: 1) On the first slide, write it in numerals (numbers) and words 2) On the second slide, represent it using dienes / Base 10. The dienes are stacked ready. Use move to drag what you need then delete the rest. 3) On the third slide, represent it using place value counters. The counters are stacked ready. Use move to drag what you need then delete the rest. 4) On the final slide, represent it in a part whole model. You can use label, pen or pencil to write in the circles. Watch the video on the first slide to see an example of how to do this. You also need to complete at least 3 soundchecks on Times Tables Rock Stars https://play.ttrockstars.com
