A Favorite Family Story

Does your family have a story that is shared over and over again? Maybe there was a time when the family got lost on a road trip and the car broke down. Maybe you all share a memory of a favorite holiday dinner. 1. 🗣 Talk with your family and pick one story that you would like to share. Be sure your family is on board with sharing. 2. ❓Interview each family member and write down their point of view and memories. You might be surprised how different family members remember the same event! 3. pencil Write the story of your family memory with as much detail as possible. Be sure to include the who, what, where, when, why of the memory. 4. 📖 Read your story to your family. Did you capture the memory correctly? 5. add Tap to add to your journal. 6. check Tap the green check when ready to share your story. Extension: Capture your family story with artwork! Why: Sharing family stories builds a sense of belonging and protective factors for children.
