Instructions for Pupils

Let's show the relative location of the sun. 1. Tap the add button. 2. Tap the drawing tool. 3. Tap label then tap on the smiley face. 4. Find a picture of the sun. 5. Tap the keyboard picture at the bottom right to make the keyboard disappear. 6. Drag the sun to one side of your picture. 7. Tap label then type either morning or afternoon and drag to the sun. 8. Tap rec and tell us the relative location of the sun. 9. Tap check to add to your journal.

Teacher Notes (not visible to pupils)

Students will need prior knowledge of a compass rose to identify east and west. You may also want to include the words "morning" and "afternoon" on a white board so students can type the chosen word easily. The correct answers will show the morning sun in the east and the afternoon sun in the west.
