Student Instructions

Teeth help us to bite and chew our food. If we didn't have teeth, we would have to eat only soft, squishy food, like babies do. Some soft foods, like applesauce and macaroni, are delicious, but it is wonderful to be able to eat a variety of foods. Our teeth help us to eat things like apples, carrots and corn on the cob. They help us to take bites out of sandwiches, tacos, and pizza slices. Teeth are AWESOME! Our teeth are so important that we need to do our best to keep them healthy and clean. We use toothbrushes and toothpaste to clean our teeth. We brush our teeth in the morning after we eat breakfast and at night before we go to bed. Open your journal by clicking on add then follow the link to a Sesame Street game called "Brush Your Teeth!" You can use your finger to move the toothbrush if you are using an iPad or use a mouse or touchpad if you are using a computer. You have to brush away all of the food and plaque to win the prize. When you are done playing, you can come back and use the photo or video to take a picture of yourself brushing your teeth up and down and all around!
