Learning Target: I can understand how people's ancestry contributes to the pieces of who they are, where they are. Watch the reading of the book "Where are you from?" by Yamile Saeid Mendez. This book is written by a person whose family origins are from Argentina, with other multicultural roots. Our ancestry is a part of who we are and can give us an understanding of our perspectives as well as our family's perspectives. Then on the response, watch the video on commentary about the question of "Where are you from?" Then, talk to your family about your own ancestry and tell us about it in writing, on video, or in a drawing.
