Teachers, save “Sketchbook Challenge | Zoom In Sketching” to assign it to your class.

Hello artists! Some days it is important to just take out your sketchbook and pencil and start drawing. This is a good way to practice and refine your drawing skills. That being said, this week's activity is to do your best in this sketchbook challenge and turn in what you have accomplished by the end of class. STEP 1: Watch the attached video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mQz7rfEds4 STEP 2: Look around you and take a close up photo of an item with your iPad. (Suggestion: If you want to zoom in even more, use the photo editing tools on your device and crop the section that you would like to focus on in your sketch.) STEP 3: It's important as you sketch, to take your time, and don't worry about "perfect lines". Experiment with shading (showing value) and cross-hatching.
