Mealworm Life Cycle

Mealworms are living things because they eat, breathe, and grow. The life cycle of a mealworm goes from egg, to larva, to pupa, and then adult. Mealworms go through metamorphosis. Today, you are going to rotate though the five stations to observe the four stages of a mealworm life cycle. 1. At station 1, observe the mealworm eggs under the microscope. Get a photo of you looking in the 🔬. Edit the photo. Write egg on this photo. 2. At station 2, observe the mealworm larvas. Take a photo. Edit this photo. Write larva on this photo. 3. At station 3, observe the mealworm pupas. Take a photo. Edit this photo. Write pupa on this photo. 4. At station 4, observe the mealworm adult beetles. Take a photo. Edit this photo. Write adult on this photo. 5. At station 5, sequence the life cycle of the mealworm. Take a photo Edit this photo. Write metamorphosis on this photo. 6. Use Shadow Puppet to create a video about the life cycle of the mealworm. Use all of the vocabulary words.
