I am a plant. My habitat is wet, sometimes it can be waterlogged due high tides at certain times of the day. I have shallow roots that stick out of the ground and special glands on my leaves that actively secrete salt. I can be found in Malaysia and any where else there is a tropical ocean. Can you guess what I am? What change am I adapting to? What type of adaptation do I display?

Student Instructions

1. Pick 1 animal OR plant. 2. Research how the animal or plants adapt to changing seasons. Find out what choices the organism has during the changing of seasons. 3. Then fill in the profile sheet for a game show. Find something that is unusual and hard to guess! 4. We will create a game show where contestants receive a clue about an animal or plant from a particular part of the world in a particular season and they have to guess whether the animal migrates, hibernates or adapts. Use the template note to get started! Remember, you must keep the name of the organism and it's adaptation a secret!
