Student Instructions
Here is an optional activity for you to do on Election Day. As you watch the 2020 Presidential Election, you will be keeping track of the results. Due to all the mail-in votes, you will probably not be able to complete this task on November 3. But eventually we will have a winner (and a president for the next four years).
1. Tap on the example below. Take a look at the two sheets. One of them tells the number of electoral votes for each state, and the other sheet tells the state abbreviations.
2. Tap on the student template. The first two sheets are a template to record the state results. Tap the and
or
to record the state name or the abbreviation under the candidate who won that state. Also record the number of electoral votes, then keep a running total in the column on the right.
3. The third sheet in the student templates is a map of the United States. Tap the
and
or
to color in the state with either blue (Joe Biden) or red (Donald Trump).
4. You are welcome to submit this activity by tapping
