Use the drawing tool to complete this activity each week. 1. Write out the 6 words you will focus on learning this week. Make sure they are words you are finding tricky and need to practise. 2. Which strategies will you use to help you spell? - Sound it out (write the word and add diacritical marking) - Say it funny (write the word and add a sound clip of you saying it funny) - Syllables (write the word using a different colour for each syllable) - Words within words (write the word using a different colour to show me the word or words you have spotted inside) - Compound words (write the word out using a different colour for the 2 words which have been joined to make 1 word) - Take a picture (write the word and draw a little camera next to it) 3. Use each word in a sentence. 4. Remember to practise every day! Use the spelling activity grid for ideas. 5. Get someone to test you at the end of the week to see if you can spell all of the words you selected.
