Student Instructions

When we use our five senses we slow down and observe our environment and emotions more closely. For this activity, we use our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch to more deeply think about the meaning of peace. 1. Click on the link and listen to Mary guide you through a mindful moment of peace. 2. Take a moment to think about what you saw, smelled, heard, tasted and felt during your mindful moment with Mary. 3. Click add and complete the mindful journal pages. 4. Use the Seesaw tools drawing mic or any other tools that will help you respond and record your answers. 5. When complete click check to submit.

Using our five senses can be a wonderful way to teach children how to cultivate peace for themselves. Mindfulness activities combined with art and a short breath practice plus positive affirmation will engage kids of all ages.
