1. Click 👆 on the link and listen to the Five Little Ducks song. 2. Click 👆 on the Template and watch how to move the ducks to make a subtraction story. 3. Click 👆on the next slide. 4. Count the ducks in the pond. Write that number. 5. Tap and move some ducks to the hill. Circle those ducks and write the number. 6. Move the ducks who swam back close to each other. 7. How many are still in the pond? Write the number that shows how many ducks are swimming now. 8. Circle the number that shows how many ducks came back. Tell your subtraction story. Challenge: Write the number sentence. 9. Click 👆on the green and save your work.

I got the idea for this activity from one that Mrs. Kimberly Robertson did on subtraction. I added the video of the song for my students who might not know the song. I also added a video lesson to show the action of subtraction. Pre-K Guidelines V.B.2 The child uses concrete models or makes a verbal word problem for subtracting 0-5 objects from a set.
