Epic Challenge: Figurative Language 1

Use the EPIC app to read A River of Words: The Story of William Carlos Williams (it is in the Award Winners Collection I assigned to you). Read the book. Think about how the author describes the river at the beginning of the book. The river is important to William as a child. Think about why. Take a picture of part of the book where the author describes the river. Upload to the SeeSaw app in the Figurative Language 1 assignment. Highlight the figurative language that the author uses to describe the river. Record yourself explaining how the author's use of figurative language helps the reader understand the impact of the river on William as a child.
