My daughter in law is allergic to many different types of food. It is dangerous for her to eat in restaurants of friends homes because of fear of allergic reactions. Right now she can only eat in a few restaurants that are allergy friendly. When she comes to my house, I have to be extremely careful about what ingredients I put in food. It takes me a really long time at the supermarket to shop. I would like to design a tool that can scan food bar codes and alert if they contain a specific allergen. Or design a tool to test food in a restaurant to make sure it doesn't contain the allergen.
