Media literacy means we are looking at the media (digital or print) critically and understand why things are being written or sent to us. When we hear a radio (audio-only) ad, we think about what the author is trying to persuade us to do and what specific tactics they are using to try and convince us of. Consider things like unique music (a catchy song or sound), changes in voice level (from whisper to shout), singing, and saying the brand or product often in your ad to generate interest and get your audience's attention. DIRECTIONS: 1. Choose a product to sell. Maybe it's a car brand, shoe brand, restaurant, vacation destination, or toy. label type it inside the blue box. 2.
