Writer’s workshop #2 - order words

Grades: 1st Grade
Subjects: Writing

Student Instructions

Good writers tell a story step by step, and tell lots of details across all of the pages. Something that helps them tell themselves and their reader the order of when things happen, is by using order words. Some order words we can use include: One day First Next Then Later Also When ____ After that Suddenly Meanwhile At the end of the day On ______ (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) Last Finally In the pictures you can see an example of a student who wrote many details step by step.
