🎯 I can use clues in the text or pictures to help me determine the meaning of an unknown word. 🎯 I can demonstrate understanding of a new word by correctly using it in a sentence or picture. 1) Choose a tricky or unknown word from an article or story that you are reading. 2) Use the label tool to write the word in the oval in the center of the page. 3) Find clues πŸ•΅πŸ½β€β™€οΈ in the word, or in the sentence, paragraph or pictures of the story or article that help you figure out the meaning of the word. Use the label tool to write those words in the 🟨 box. 4) Use http://wordcentral.com/ to look up the actual definition of the word. Write the definition in the 🟦 box using the label tool. 5) Use https://www.kiddle.co/images.php to find a picture example of your word OR take your own picture. Use the photo or upload tool to put a picture example of your word in the 🟩 box. 6) Use the upload or label tools to write or share a picture of a NON-example in the πŸŸ₯ box. 7) Submit your work with the check
