Word Work -- context clues & determining the meaning of new vocabulary

🎯 I can use clues in the text or pictures to help me determine the meaning of an unknown word. 🎯 I can demonstrate understanding of a new word by correctly using it in a sentence or picture. *** ⏯Watch lesson video 1st (top left corner of this screen)*** 1) Choose a tricky or unknown word from an article or story that you are reading. 2) Use the tool to write the word in the oval in the center of the page. 3) Find clues 🕵🏽‍♀️in the word, or in the sentence, paragraph or pictures of the story or article that help you figure out the meaning of the word. Use the tool to write those words in the 🟦blue box. 4) Use http://wordcentral.com/ to look up the actual definition of the word. Write the definition in the 🟨yellow box using the tool. 5) Use https://www.kiddle.co/images.php to find a picture example of your word OR take your own picture. Use the or tool to put a picture example of your word in the 🟩 green box. 6) Use the or tools to write or share a picture of a NON-example in the 🟥 box. 7) Submit your work with the
