Classification of Arthropods

Grades: 6th Grade

Student Instructions

Each student will be responsible for creating a small model of an arthropod. The model must be no larger than 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. Students may choose to create a centipede, millipede, insect, spider, or a crustacean. Students must not tell anyone what type of arthropod they are creating. Each student will post an image of their arthropod model to Seesaw for their classmates to classify. For each arthropod, students will make comments to identify the class of arthropoda and the characteristics they based their classification on. Click on add Select cameraroll to insert your image. Copy and paste this into the caption I am in the Animalia Kingdom and the Phylum Arthropoda. I am an invertebrate and I have a segmented body. Based on my characteristics, can you identify the class of Arthropods that I belong too? Explain. comment
