Student Instructions

Listen to the voice instructions, or ask an older helper to read the instructions with you. With this task you will be using your basic facts to solve the problems - you will need to regroup the ones or tens (also known as 'borrowing' or 'stealing'), so think carefully as you are working. Remember, when we are adding or subtracting, we always work out the ones column first, then the tens column, then the hundreds column. And we show our working out (not JUST the answer) so the teacher can see the method we used. 1. Watch the demonstration video if you want a reminder on how to do subtraction with regrouping (borrowing/stealing) into the hundreds. 2. For each problem, use the drawing tool or the :text: tool to show your working out and record the answers. (If you cannot use the tools, then write your answers onto paper and upload a photo of them for me.) 3. At the end, click the check to add this task to your journal.
