Science Experiment: How Does a Plant Drink Water?

Student Instructions

Materials needed: Celery Stalks with leaves, clear cups, water, food coloring 1. Fill each cup halfway with water. Add food coloring to each jar (dark colors work best). 2. Using clean stalks of celery, slice about an inch off the bottom of each stalk and then make a small vertical cut up each one. 3. Stand each stalk into its own cup of colored water. 4. Complete slide 2. 5. Let celery stand in water a few days and then complete slide 3. Click the check to turn in.

You will need water, food coloring, cups and celery stalks for this experiment. It is to last for 3 days.
