Accepting Rules and Authority: Everyone learns in different ways

Grades: 7th Grade, 5th Grade, 6th Grade
Subjects: Character Building, Special Education

Student Instructions

Learning Intention: Identify how different people learn in different ways. Although you are in a class of other students, all students (like teachers) are individuals and have individual needs. The purpose of this lesson is to create an awareness of individual differences in learning. This is something that a teacher needs to cater for, and it is helpful for you as a student to have this awareness as well. Thinking questions: 1. What is something you have learned to do in the past few weeks? 2. How did you learn to do it? 3. Do you think everyone learns to do things the same way? 4. Why do you think it is harder for some people to learn? 5. If someone wanted to teach you how to draw a horse, what are some ways they might go about doing that? Directions: Figure out which student is who based on their style of learning.
