Student Instructions

Tap the label and drag the words to the correct column. Does the‘c’ make a /s/ sound or a /k/ sound? Use the label to add in another three words of your own for each heading. Use the mic to record why some words have the ‘c’ making an /s/ sound and why other words have a /k/ sound.

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

This activity is preferably given when the students are learning about ‘I’, ‘y’ and ‘e’ after ‘c’ makes the sound say /s/.
