Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
There is a learning poster in the "example attachments". You can use this to introduce opinion writing and then students can look back and refer to it. The activity has a sentence starter to help students make their opinion statements, including a mini work bank. Students will complete the writing on pages 1-2 using 3 reasons and a closing statement. Last, students should illustrate their opinion. You may also have students read their writing using the microphone.
