Student Instructions

Hi Pop Artists! We have learned about Pop Art and focused on the comic art of Roy Lichtenstein. Last week you looked for 2-3 school appropriate comic book panels. Today you will chose one and replicate the image on a larger scale, either in your sketchbook or on a bigger separate sheet of paper. As the artist, you have a choice of either analyzing and observing the details within the panel by eye, while drawing in pencil OR follow the steps in the video to make a grid over the chosen panel, drawing a grid on the final, and allowing this to guide what details should be drawn in each section. Chose an approach that is easiest for you in accomplishing this goal. 1. Watch the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whr7ngHFnY0 2. Draw in pencil as much of the details as you can from the image. 3. On slide one of the Seesaw template, please share your progress on Slide 1 (My example is on Slide 2) Remember: For Part 3 next week, you will outline with black marker and use any art mediums (mixed media) to color and complete your Pop Art. So plan ahead and start organizing the supplies you will use at next week's Art Zoom. If you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to contact your art teacher. SAME ART TIME! SAME ART CHANNEL!
