Segmenting and Blending (CVCC) - Reading

Learning Intention: I am learning to use alphabet letters and sounds to sound out 4 letter words. Success Criteria: I can: - Stretch out the sounds in words (segment) - Use my alphabet knowledge to identify the sounds in words - Blend the sounds back together and record myself saying these words. Time: Approximately 30 minutes Fluency activity: Practise the single letter codes and their sounds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahKCHQPBp5c&feature=youtu.be) 1. Watch and practise along with these CVCC words (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG-xKG7I83E) 2. Click to begin the activity. 3. Use the tool to select and move a letter into a box. Make sure you are using the reading strategy stretchy snake! 4. Tap the tool to record yourself segmenting and blending the letters. 5. When you are done, select . *Going further Log onto Reading Eggs and complete a task OR Choose a Reading activity from the Foundation Week 6 matrix.
