While reading, try to come up with a theory (or an idea) that you have about one of your characters. After coming up with that theory, be on the lookout for times in your story where that character says or does something that connects to the theory (idea) that you came up with and jot it down! Then explain how that part proves your idea!

3. Begin your independent reading and find where the character says or does something that connects to that idea. When you come across one of these parts, use the
tool to add it below your theory in a post it note. Remember to explain how it proves your theory!
4. Don’t just list what happened, explain how it’s proof to an idea you have.
