Reading Strategy - Back Up Ideas About Characters with Evidence

After coming up with that theory, be on the lookout for times in your story where that character says or does something that connects to the theory (idea) that you came up with and jot it down! Then explain how that part proves your idea! 1. arrow on add to access the template 2. Come up with a theory or an idea about a character and jot it in the label box that says "Theory" 3. Begin your independent reading and find where the character says or does something that connects to that idea. When you come across one of these parts, use the label tool to add it below your theory in a post it note. Remember to explain how it proves your theory! 4. Don’t just list what happened, explain how it’s proof to an idea you have. 5. When you need more Post Its, arrow on the 3dots on Page 1 on the right column and arrow on "duplicate" to make a copy of your Page 1 Template. 6. Continue to arrow on draft so you can keep building on your idea(s) throughout your entire novel!
