Student Instructions
We are learning to compare the volumes of a number of different containers by pouring from one to the other
I can see that some containers, which look different, can have the same volume
I can see that some containers might hold the same amount even though they are very different shapes
First - find 2 or 3 containers that look different but could hold similar amounts of water
Next - ask family members to guess which holds the most and see if anyone is “tricked"
Then - we will problem solve and experiment
Problem solve –
1. These cups all look the same. How can we find out the amounts they hold?
2. What material will you use to check the capacity?
3. Make a video or use
photos and
labels to show your thinking
