Grades: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Science

Student Instructions

Observe the containers. Take a picture. Increments 1. Carefully observe each graduated cylinder to determine the total capacity, the scale increments, and the labeled numbers. 2. Match 3 cards to each graduated cylinder. Take a photo of each cylinder with the matching cards. Be sure the scale is showing in each picture. Required Content o Photo of tools for measuring volume (define volume and explain units) o Photo of 3-5 containers with same volume of red water (explain why they look different) o Photo of (5) graduated cylinders with 3 cards (explain how to determine the scale increment on graduated cylinders) Required Vocabulary o Volume o Graduated Cylinder o Unit o Tool o Measure o Observe
