Student Instructions

“What’s up, Doc?” - Bugs Bunny Hi artists! Today we will begin to learn about the art of animation. Animation is the art form that we see on tv, movies, and video games. Animation is simply defined as “Moving Objects”. Throughout this unit, you will learn about the history of animation, see many different examples, and create your own cartoon clip! As exciting as this activity is, it creates a few challenges which I am confident that you will overcome and by the end, you will be a successful cartoonist! So what are we waiting for? Let’s start! 1. Watch the video https://youtu.be/KB7QsZC0NGI 2. Follow the directions of each slide on the template. I created an example on the last couple of slides. 3. Post your response here on Seesaw. Now that you’ve learned about the different types of animation, start noticing these methods in the cartoons you watch. So, your homework is watch more cartoons! Also start thinking about movement of objects that you would like to try to sketch, because that will be our goal next week with part 2. Have fun and MAY THE ARTS BE WITH YOU! Mr. Belonio
